Trevally is very rich in calcium and has a good ratio of omega 3 to omega 6 fatty acids. Omega 3’s are anti-inflammatory, which can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke. Trevally also contains B vitamins such as B12, which can provide energy to the hard-working nervous system.
These are whole fish sold separately, so be prepared to gut and fillet yourself! a fun and enjoyable activity for many. Trevally is best cooked on a grill or barbeque, so you can get lots of it’s delicious oil into your food. Avoid re-freezing and definitely do not leave unopened at room temperature for the fish’s natural oils to evaporate.
