Gravlax is a classic Nordic dish consisting of raw Salmon, cured in salt, sugar, and dill. Gravlax is usually served as an appetiser, sliced thinly and accompanied by hovmästarsås, a dill and mustard sauce. Try serving on German bread which is sometimes called Pumpernickel and is a typically heavy, slightly sweet rye bread traditionally made with coarsely ground rye and is a perfect partner for Salmon.
