YELLOW TAIL (Hamachi) loin 650-800g
This side of skin on vac-packed Hamachi is one of the cornerstones of sushi. The Japanese amberjack or yellowtail, Seriola quinqueradiata, is a species of jackfish in the family Carangidae. It is native to the northwest Pacific Ocean, from Japan to Hawaii. It is greatly appreciated in Japan, where it is called Hamachi or buri. Yellowtail possesses a mild flavour and firm texture. Each loin is 650-800g.
Yellowtail contains high quantities of niacin and vitamin A, as well as riboflavin, vitamin B6 and selenium. Yellowtail is also rich in omega-3 fatty acids which can improve cardiovascular health. Moreover, it is also a very good source of potassium.
They have amazing white flesh, which is oily and ideally suited for most cooking methods except for frying. One of the greatest parts of the Yellowtail is that you can slice it up on the boat and eat it raw. If you like raw fish, then you’ll love yellowtail sashimi. Slice it thinly for some delicious sashimi. Ours are freeze vacuum-packed Yellowtail, skinless and boneless loin.
