Clams are medium-sized bivalve molluscs, usually found in shallow ocean waters. The texture of the Clam meat varies and it can be either tender or tough and that is dependent on how they are cooked. They have a very distinctive taste which comes from their saltwater environment. Farmed in Vietnam, our Clams come whole in a shell, 1 kilo per bag, partially cooked to reduce the preparation time.
Clams are high in protein and an excellent source of B vitamins, important for cellular energy production and healthy nervous system. They also contain high amounts of the minerals Calcium, Magnesium, Iron, Zinc and Copper, essential for the red blood cells as well as bone and muscle health and active metabolism. Clam meat can also provide a good amount of selenium which is a key antioxidant.
Clams can be prepared in many ways, these are perfect for a paella.
